About Me

I completed my graduate studies in Psychology at Phillips Graduate Institute earning a Master's Degree with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. I also have an earned Master's Degree in Theatre, with an emphasis in Acting from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theatre from the University of California at Irvine. Prior to returning to my studies at Phillips, I worked as an Instructor in the Fine Arts Department at El Camino College in Torrance, California for 16 years teaching Acting and Theatre courses. It was during this time that I began to witness the healing that came about through individual exploration of self and "life wounds" utilizing drama and the power and resilience of the human spirit through this art form. It was this experience that lead me to go back to school and investigate these pathways that my students had so boldly been discovering in their work.

As an actor for over 20 years in the motion picture and television industry, I had first hand experience of the difficulties inherent in the entertainment industry and the day to day trails associated with this career field.

I also hold certifications in Fitzmaurice Voice, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (Trauma and PTSD), Seeking Safety (for co-occuring diagnosis involving drug and alcohol abuse), Anger Resistance Training, Strengthening Families Program and Triple P (Positive Parenting Program: Child and Adolescent). I am a certified group facilitator for Project Fatherhood.

I invite you to take the next step.  Please call or email me with any questions, or to make an appointment.  I look forward to talking with you.
